What is life about? How are we called to live our lives? What are the non-negotiables? What is negotiable?

That second one is pretty all-encompassing. I like how you say that we obey God AFTER we receive love from Him.
One that I might put explicitly is to make disciples (Matthew 28), which falls under the second point you have because it's obedience to Jesus' command to us in the great commission. That's what Jesus' disciples were mainly about after He left the earth (Acts) and, by extension, seems to be a large part of what we should be about as well.
